The Vision Institute of Canada is a registered vision care charity providing clinical services to underserved communities and at-risk patient populations since 1981. Some of our partners include Yonge Street Mission, Blind Low Vision Program, Out-of-the-Cold, Homeless Connect Toronto, Massey Centre, Toronto Community Living, Long-Term Care Homes – to name only a few.
The Vision Institute acts as an externship site for final year optometry students from the University of Waterloo Optometry and Vision Science, the New England College of Optometry and the State University of New York, providing an exceptional learning experience for the interns.
Due to the evolving nature of COVID-19, the Vision Institute cancelled its major fundraiser – our annual three-day conference and exhibition. This financial loss, combined with the closure of the Institute’s clinic for 14 weeks, has placed us in a serious financial situation.
To address the impact of COVID-19 we have launched “Eye Help” to raise $100,000 by the end of 2020. All donations – large or small –help the Vision Institute survive and continue to provide exemplary vision care to those most in need.
To make an on-line donation please visit our website: www.visioninstitutecanada.com
Cheques are made payable to the Vision Institute of Canada and mailed to 4025 Yonge St., Suite 205, Toronto, Ontario M2P 2E3.
Please support the work of Vision Institute during this challenging time and donate.
Dr. Mira Acs,
The Vision Institute of Canada.
